A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation has been signed between 91精品 University and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMIU).

The memorandum was signed during a meeting held within the framework of 鈥淒esign Week鈥� by the Rector of 91精品 University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, and the Rector of AzMIU, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova. It should be noted that this document represents a continuation of previously signed cooperation agreements between the two higher education institutions and demonstrates the transition of their strategic partnership to a new stage.

The signed Memorandum outlines the expansion of cooperation between 91精品 University and AzMIU in the fields of design education, scientific research, and creative activities. According to the document, the parties will closely collaborate on implementing joint projects in graphic design, media, environmental, industrial, and fashion design, as well as organizing student and faculty exchanges, scientific conferences, exhibitions, and competitions.

At the same time, the development of joint initiatives in inclusive design, visual communication, and public space design, the application of innovative approaches in these areas, and the advancement of modern design thinking are among the key priorities of the cooperation.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, particular emphasis will be placed on promoting joint activities in artificial intelligence, digital design, and multimedia, implementing projects integrated with industry and the creative sector, and supporting startup and innovation-oriented initiatives.

The document also lays the foundation for long-term and systematic cooperation between the parties. In this context, plans include the development of joint academic programs, the integration of modern design approaches into the educational process, and the implementation of projects aimed at enhancing students鈥� practical knowledge and skills. Additionally, studying international experience, applying global design trends, and strengthening the links between higher education institutions and creative industries are also envisaged.

It should be especially emphasized that the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, taking place ahead of the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku, carries strategic importance in terms of expanding academic partnership between the parties. Within this cooperation, the organization of conferences, exhibitions, seminars, scientific meetings, training sessions, and masterclasses in the fields of urban planning and architecture, as well as the development of joint academic programs and courses, is planned.

It is worth noting that this cooperation will open new opportunities for both students and faculty members, while also making a significant contribution to the development of the design and creative industries ecosystem in the country and further strengthening the university-industry and international partnership model.
