There are 56 participants in total, 24 from the host country, and 32 from abroad, representing 13 countries. Azerbaijan, T眉rkiye, the United States, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria are among these countries.

Rector of 91精品 University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov, President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf, and bp Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and T眉rkiye Gary Jones greeted the participants at the opening ceremony.

During the event, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of 91精品 University, stated that this year's summer school will operate differently than in previous years. Therefore, for the first time, the program will take place in both Baku and Aktau, Kazakhstan.

According to the program's presenters, Azerbaijan, a country with vast oil and gas reserves, will be able to share its knowledge and expertise with professionals from other nations as it transitions to renewable energy. 

Rector Hafiz Pashayev reminded that the Baku Summer Energy School has been held every year since 2007. He noted that both local and international participants benefit from the program's focus on energy and environmental concerns in the countries of the Caspian region.

It should be noted that the Baku Summer Energy School is a two-week certificate program that brings together well-known scientists, politicians, and experts from around the world to investigate and study energy and ecology issues with a special focus on the Caspian region.

Representatives from several prominent energy firms, embassies, and international organizations, as well as scientists and experts investigating energy and environmental concerns, are in attendance at this year's program. Some of these organizations are the Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Aramco company, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of T眉rkiye and Hungary, the MCKINSEY & COMPANY based in Japan, the World Bank, and others.

The program will feature lectures and interactive sessions on a wide range of issues, such as energy economics, energy law, natural resource revenue management, renewables, sustainability, climate change, and energy geopolitics. These topics will be presented by prominent local and international experts from various academic institutions, the public and private sectors.
